Cher Lloyd appears to have launched into a feud with Lorde, responding to criticsm the 16-year-old dished out to Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift. The ‘Royals’ singer accused Gomez of being bad for feminism with the lyrics for her song ‘Come & Get It’, to which Gomez responded that it was unfeminist of Lorde to “tear down” a fellow female artist.

Asked about the debacle by magazine J-14, Cher planted herself firmly on Team Selena.

“Why does she have to go do that? She’s doing so well — what a knob,” she said of Lorde.

“I think she’s going to eat her words, which she obviously already has, and I think for someone who’s gaining so much success so early, she should be considering herself lucky, it takes a lot of work.”

She went on:

“If she said something about me, it’d be a different story. I wouldn’t stand for any of that, I’d be straight back on it.”

When told what Gomez said back to Lorde, Cher said: “Good for her. I probably would have used foul language.”
