Previous rumours suggesting that Julianne Moore would join the cast of The Hunger Games movies have been confirmed.

The popular actress is slated to play President Coin in the series’ final two films, Mockingjay Part One and Mockingjay Part Two. Exciting!

The character features prominently in the final book in Suzanne Collins’ series, but won’t appear in this November’s Catching Fire.

Elsewhere, Natalie Dormer has been cast as film director Cressida, while Stef Dawson has signed up to play Annie, the tragic love interest of Finnick Odair – played by Sam Claflin. Claflin will be seen in Catching Fire.

Jennifer Lawrence of course reprises her role as Katniss Everdeen, while Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth return as the men in her life, Peeta and Gale.

The first film, released last year, amassed a hugely positive critical reception and was a big success at the box office.
