Keisha Buchanan disowns Sugababes’ ‘Get Sexy’

Former Sugababes star Keisha Buchanan has said that the band should never have released their electropop track ‘Get Sexy’. The song was the last single the band released before Keisha was replaced by former Eurovision hopeful Jade Ewen, and was co-written by ‘Just The Way You Are’ hitmaker Bruno Mars.

Speaking to the Official Charts Company, she said: “Um, ‘Get Sexy’ shouldn’t have happened.

“It was amazing working with Bruno, and we’d love to work with him in this line-up, but… I just didn’t feel like that was a representation of who we were as a band but we didn’t, at that point, have a lot of say.”

The Sugababes have since split, with Ewen confirming recently:

“I don’t feel comfortable lying, saying we’re in the studio recording and we’re going to bring music out next year, which seems to be the favoured line
