Miley Cyrus breaks VEVO world record

Miley Cyrus has easily smashed the record for most views received by a video in its first 24 hours. The promotional clip for her new song ‘Wrecking Ball’ obtained more than 19 million views in just one day, easily snatching the record off One Direction.

The boyband’s hit ‘Best Song Ever’ had only broken the record a few months ago, taking it from Cyrus herself, with her last track ‘We Can’t Stop’. Not bad going!

‘Wrecking Ball’ is the second single from the star’s upcoming album Bangerz, which is out in the UK on October 7, one day later than the US.

It’s a great positive note for Cyrus, who was allegedy ditched from the US edition of Vogue following her risque performance at the MTV Video Music Awards back in August.

As if that’s not enough, US tabloids have also been frantically suggesting that her relationship with actor Liam Hemsworth is on the rocks as a result of her new raunchy image.
