Simon Cowell has confirmed that his first child will be a boy – and hinted that he plans to marry the mother. Lauren Silverman is currently pregnant with the mogul’s son; news which leaked at the end of July before she had officially divorced her estranged husband Andrew.
Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his morning chatshow today, Cowell said:
“The baby has to have an English accent!”
He also dropped a big hint that rumours of a looming marriage are accurate, saying:
“I wouldn’t expect Lauren to be a single mother.”
He also referred to the child as “he” throughout the chat, despite initially refusing to comment on the gender in previous interviews.
