Developing rumours suggesting the Spice Girls will soon tour alongside the Backstreet Boys have been denied.
It was reported that the American boyband and the iconic British female troupe – both at the peak of their fame in the late 90s – would join forces for a joint jaunt.
However, it appears that there is no truth to the speculation.
A spokesperson for the Backstreet Boys told MTV that the story is false – but the band are, however, soon to tour with Avril Lavigne instead.
The Spice Girls are never far from a reunion rumour, however their most famous member, Victoria Beckham, has previously said that she is officially finished with her pop career and intends to continue with fashion on a permanent basis.
