A rumour suggesting that Britney Spears has been banned from reading negative reviews about her new album has been denied.
The former X Factor judge was reported by a US gossip site to have been shielded from less-than-glowing feedback about her latest LP Britney Jean, which hit stores in the US earlier this week.
Radar Online’s so-called insider had claimed: “Britney’s manager, Larry Rudolph, and father, Jamie, won’t allow her to see any of the bad reviews.
“Britney doesn’t even have access to the internet and lives in a bubble!… No-one wants to upset Britney. If she were to read anything negative, it could send her into a bad tailspin and both Larry and Jamie know that can’t happen with her upcoming shows in Vegas about to launch.”
However, a source close to the ‘Perfume’ singer has told Gossip Cop that the whole story is “absurd”, reasoning that after being in the business for 15 years she’s more than used to dealing with reviews.
