X Factor winner Sam Bailey’s tour support slot for Beyonce has been announced.
It was revealed on Saturday’s finale of the reality competition that whoever won the contest would get to open for the superstar on one show of her Mrs Carter World Tour in the New Year.
Following on from that, bosses have now revealed that Bailey will sing ahead of Bey on February 24, 2014 at Birmingham’s LG Arena. She will not miss any of the X Factor tour dates to complete the stint.
Speaking to Digital Spy about the opportunity, the 36-year-old former prison warden had said:
“My daughter will come and watch it, but my son probably won’t because he’s only 4 and it might be a bit too loud for him.
“Can you imagine on the Beyoncé tour Tom sitting there playing Angry Birds on the tablet with his headphones on? It’s not going to look very good, is it?”
Sam is likely to be the Christmas No1 this weekend with her cover of Demi Lovato’s ‘Skyscraper’, which will receive a further sales boost after CD copies went on sale in shops.
