Following hot speculation last week, Justin Timberlake was joined by his old bandmates from *NSYNC on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards last night.
Similar to Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland joining Beyonce at the Super Bowl earlier this year, the other four members of the quintet joined Timberlake as part of a show-stopping medley at the ceremony.
The star kicked off the performance on his own, singing snippets of his megahits ‘SexyBack’, ‘Like I Love You’, ‘My Love’, ‘Cry Me A River’ and ‘Rock Your Body’, before the crowd went wild for the appearance of his four very special guests.
Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick joined him to sing ‘Girlfriend’ and ‘Bye Bye Bye’, before leaving Timberlake to close with ‘Suit & Tie’ and ‘Mirrors’. It was the first time all five had performed together since 2004.Jimmy Fallon then took to the stage to give Timberlake the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
