Boyband superstars One Direction have signed up to host part of the Children In Need TV coverage for BBC One. In a fun twist, the five-piece will be presenting from the Queen Vic, the iconic fictional pub featured in British soap opera EastEnders.
“We all grew up watching CIN as kids, so to be in a position where we can collaborate with the charity and help raise funds for this amazing cause is truly special for us,” the band gushed in a statement.
The boys will also give their first UK TV performance of chart smash ‘Best Song Ever’ on the telethon, which airs on Friday, November 15 – just over a week ahead of their new album Midnight Memories.
Other hosts confirmed to participate across the night’s festivities are Terry Wogan, Tess Daly, Fearne Cotton, Zoe Ball and Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw.
Elsewhere, Gary Barlow’s Children In Need concert will boast Keane, Little Mix, Kings of Leon and Robbie Williams.
