Katy Perry has announced the title of her new album in one of the most unique ways we have ever seen! Instead of sending out a press release or just saying it on Twitter, the singer revealed the essential details by having them painted on a giant gold lorry and getting someone to drive it around Los Angeles.
The vehicle reveals the third LP title to be Prism, and the release date to be October 22. It says simply: “Katy Perry. Prism. 10/22/13”. The semi-truck will now call at various places in the US to spread the word – although Twitter is already lit up with her fans excitedly chatting about it; not least Katy herself. When asked if Prism was the title of a single or the album, she replied simply: “Album!”
She then teased: “Find the #PRISM semi, take a picture and I’ll RT you. Don’t worry. Los Angeles is just the first stop on the map.” Katy’s last album, Teenage Dream, was released in 2010 and yielded no less than seven global smash hit singles, including ‘California Gurls’, ‘Firework’, ‘ET’ and ‘Part Of Me’.
