Simon Cowell will allegedly name his first child after his late father, according to a report. The 53-year-old will become a first-time parent in the coming months, with Lauren Silverman’s pregnancy now common knowledge.
She is thought to be around three months pregnant, and Simon is said to want to call the offspring either Eric or Erica, in tribute to his deceased dad.
A source claimed to The Sun:
“Simon’s made it clear he’d like Eric to be considered as a name. Lauren likes it as it’s unusual in America, and quite stylish too. She also feels Erica’s a cool name for a girl.”

Simon’s mother recently said that her son will make a “fantastic” father, saying:
“I’ve not heard anything officially. But if it’s true then I’m absolutely delighted.
“It’s wonderful! He’ll make a fantastic father. He’ll be great.”
