DJ and producer Afrojack has described his experience with Paris Hilton’s upcoming album. He explained that he was briefly involved with her new album but the pair have now stopped working together.
He told Digital Spy:
“Oh I’ve shut that up. That might have come out a bit harsh. I’m still in touch with Paris, but musically we’ve taken different paths.
“There was so much bulls**t surrounding everything, because she is who she is. I gave her a shot, but eventually, enough is enough.”
He also defended Miley Cyrus, after he made a remix of her hit ‘Wrecking Ball’ for free.
“If someone says to me, ‘Do you want to remix this?’ and then I don’t like it, I usually don’t do it unless they offer me a gigantic s**t-load of money,” he said.
“A lot of remixes I’ve done for myself. The Miley Cyrus remix I did completely for free without talking to the labels. I just got the a capella off the internet and remixed it, because I just thought all the criticism ‘Wrecking Ball’ got was bulls**t.”
He added:
“I just thought, ‘I’m going to remix it and play it to 80,000 festival-goers who are all die-hard and underground, and I’m going to play those guys Miley Cyrus’s ‘Wrecking Ball’ and they’re going to lose their s**t’. She’s heard it and she loves it. I’m in touch with her.”
