Actress Ellen Pompeo has voiced her disgust at the weekend’s Primetime Emmys Awards ceremony. The Grey’s Anatomy star was left unimpressed when she realised that ethnical diversity was severely lacking from the show.
“I didn’t see any diversity in the Emmys at all. The Emmys felt so dated to me,” she told the Associated Press.
“That dance number was embarrassing. Did you see one person of color in that dance number?”
Speaking of her own series, she said:
““I’m extremely proud of our very, very diverse cast which represents the world that I walk around in every day.”

The Emmys awarded some surprise recipients – with Jeff Daniels of The Newsroom scooping Best Actor and Downton Abbey failing to win more than one award from its twelve nominations.
