Gal Godot has won the part of iconic superhero Wonder Woman.
The actress will appear as the legendary and much-loved character in the upcoming Batman vs Superman blockbuster, it has been confirmed.
Godot’s previous credits include the Fast & Furious franchise, and she joins an impressive line-up which already boasts Henry Cavill as Superman and, controversially, Ben Affleck as Batman.

Zack Snyder, who is directing the project, said in a statement:
“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role.”
He added:
“We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”
Godot’s other credits include Natanya in Date Night alongside Tina Fey, and Naomi in Knight And Day alongside Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.
