Former Disney star Hilary Duff has signed up for a new TV role in the form of sitcom Younger. It’s from the same producer as Sex And The City and will air on the MTV-owned cable channel TV Land.
Darren Star’s new brainchild will also star Sutton Foster, Debi Mazar and Miriam Shor; with Foster slated to play a “40-something woman who reinvents herself and starts living a double life; one as a suburban mom and another as a 29-year-old working girl in the city, after her husband leaves her and her child goes to college.”
Mazar, meanwhile, is down to play her best friend and Shor will be her boss. It’s not clear right now which part Duff will be playing.
The ‘Wake Up’ singer has also recently signed a new record deal, meaning her first album since 2007’s Dignity is presumably on its way.
Hands up who’s excited?
