Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is officially in labour with the United Kingdom’s newest Prince or Princess!
Prince William’s bride was admitted to St Mary’s Hospital in London this morning, where she will give birth to her first child.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the news when rumours started circulating earlier today. She arrived at the Lindo Wing of the Paddington hospital at around 6am this morning, by car. Prince William is with her.
A spokesperson added: “Things are progressing as normal.” The couple announced the news late last year after Kate was treated for severe morning sickness.
Betting on the due date has been intense, with William Hill yesterday suspending all bets over fierce speculation that the royal tot would be born today or tomorrow.
There will be no further announcements from the Palace until the actual birth. The baby will be third in line to the throne, after Princes Charles and William.
