Coronation Street stars have been sending their messages of celebration to actor Michael Le Vell after a jury found him Not Guilty of twelve sex offenses.
He was cleared of all five counts of rape, three of indecent assault, two counts of sexual activity with a child, and two of causing a child to engage in sexual activity
He said as he left court as a free man:
“We’re all delighted obviously.
“It’s a big weight off everyone’s shoulders and I’d just like to thank my fantastic legal team… my family for their support, security, and I’d like to thank ITV for their continued support throughout this traumatic time for all of us.”
Le Vell has been a part of the Coronation Street family since 1983, and his past and present co-stars have been sending him their congratulations via Twitter.
