Contrary to reports over the weekend, Cheryl Cole will not be dropped from L’Oreal’s advertising campaigns.
The former Girls Aloud singer had been rumoured to be facing the axe after photos emerged of her with a giant rose tattooed on her backside. L’Oreal apparently feared that it conflicted with their “natural beauty” image.
However, when asked by Metro about the claims, a spokesperson for the company said:
“We are not parting company with Cheryl.”
A source for The Mirror had originally alleged:
“Sales were rising when [Cheryl] was on the X Factor sporting a certain L’Oréal hair colour but now she’s not and has dyed her hair lots of colours she was shifted.
“L’Oreal moved her to the campaign for their Skin Perfection Skincare. The whole idea of their new range is based on natural beauty so her unnatural tattoos has left them rather miffed.”
They added:
“It could only be a matter of time before she is either moved again to another campaign, or they part company.”
