Jamie Dornan has been confirmed as the actor who will replace Charlie Hunnam in the upcoming Fifty Shades Of Grey movie adaptations.
The actor, who was once dating Keira Knightley, was welcomed aboard by the books’ author EL James earlier today following intense media speculation. She wrote on Twitter:
“Stow your twitchy palms ladies… our man is here. Welcome to #TeamFifty @JamieDornan1 x”.
Dakota Johnson, who was announced along with Hunnam at the start of September, remains on board to play leading lady Anastasia Steele in the trilogy, which goes into production next month.
The first film in the three-part series will hit cinemas in early August, 2014.
Dornan’s credits include Irish series The Fall and several modelling gigs, including one infamous shoot for Calvin Klein alongside Eva Mendez.
What do you think of his appointment? Is he a good fit?
