Luke Grimes is reportedly the latest addition to the Fifty Shades Of Grey movie, and will play the role of Christian Grey’s brother. Grimes, who has previously starred in True Blood and Brothers & Sisters, was officially confirmed today, one day after after Jamie Dornan was confirmed to be replacing Charlie Hunnam as Grey himself.
The casting was reported by E!, although it has yet to be officially confirmed by author EL James or any of the film’s producers. Production on the first of the three movies in the franchise will kick off next month, with the release pencilled in for August 2014.
Dornan’s announcement yesterday would no doubt have been a relief for execs, who faced a walkout from Hunnam just weeks after he signed up for the male lead. The Irish hunk, who previously dated Keira Knightley, apparently auditioned to be the Sons Of Anarchy star’s replacement last week.
EL James tweeted when it was finally official:
“Stow your twitchy palms ladies… our man is here. Welcome to #TeamFifty @JamieDornan1 x”
