Alanis Morissette is allegedly on the receiving end of a lawsuit from her former nanny. Bianca Cambeiro has apparently claimed that ‘Not As We’ singer effectively held her hostage when she and her husband Mario Treadway “forced” her to work a 12-hour night shift without any breaks.
The incident is said to have occured in the bedroom of their son Ever, according to TMZ.
She says in legal documents that the only time she was able to leave was when one of the child’s parents was in the room. Otherwise, she had to wait until the day-shift nanny arrived.
As if that wasn’t enough, she also claims she has not been paid an owed $30,000 in overtime. She is asking for an additional $100,000 for emotional distress.
She was employed between August 2011 and March 2013.
Morissette has not publicly responded to the lawsuit.
