Cheryl Cole has defended her decision to get a giant tattoo of an English rose over her lower back and backside. Tattoo artist Nikki Hurtado caused a stir online over the weekend when he posted a photo of the full design on his Instagram page.
Cheryl has now spoken out herself, writing:
“I have personal meaning behind it but English roses are my favourite flowers.
“People are entitled to their own opinion. Personally I’ve never really concerned myself with other people’s body parts!”
She added:
Asked to rate how painful it was on a scale of 1-10, she responded:“I’ve had it for maybe 7-8 months, it was a long process but only just detailed it.
“The guy is a genius, a true artist and he helped me to cope a lot because I felt like I was in very safe hands.”
“Overall I’d say 9-10! I can pretty much safely say I’m done [with tattoos].”
