Dakota Johnson has confessed that her preparation work for Fifty Shades Of Grey was “kind of boring”. The actress, who will star opposite Jamie Dornan in the adaptations of EL James’ novels, said she was happy to do all of the research she needed, but it wasn’t particularly exciting.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, she said:
“[It was] a lot of getting into the character’s head – Ana’s headspace – kind of before she meets Christian.
“So it’s a lot of reading, which I love.”
She added:
“But she’s an English major, so that’s kind of boring!”
The first instalment in the three-part franchise will hit cinemas on Valentine’s Day weekend in 2015, around six months later than its original date of August 1, 2014.
Rita Ora and Luke Grimes are among the supporting cast members.
