Demi Lovato has responded to claims her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas made about their previous drug use together in an essay last year. The former boyband star alleged that Demi and Miley Cyrus were with him when he smoked pot for the first time.

While Miley’s response appeared to be slightly annoyed, Demi is much more relaxed. Speaking on Giuliana Rancic’s new show Beyond Candid With Giuliana, she said:
“He had warned me a couple of days before.
“I don’t even remember [smoking] because clearly, I was chillin’.”
When the article Joe wrote began to go viral around the web, Demi recalls:
“I called him and I was like, ‘Relax. We’re good. Just don’t be so stupid next time. love you, it’s all good. We’re always going to be friends.'”
Of her own addiction battles, she mused:
“I don’t place any of the blame on anybody else except for really myself. I don’t think anybody can save your life except for yourself.”
