Disney’s CEO has announced that the corporation will release a sequel to hit 2004 Pixar collaboration The Incredibles.
The second film featuring the superhero family has no release date as of yet, and is thought to be in the very early stages of development.
The movie was confirmed during a conference call this week with fellow Disney shareholders, and, in the same conversation, the CEO also revealed that the Cars franchise will soon be a trilogy.
A follow-up to 2011’s Cars 2 was first rumoured in late 2013, and it has now been revealed that a third movie is en route. It is not, however, known how much involvement Pixar will have, as their own schedule is looking pretty busy up until 2017.
They are, however, overseeing the Finding Nemo sequel – Finding Dory – which is out in 2016.
Are you pleased that The Incredibles are returning?
