Former X Factor friends James Arthur and Lucy Spraggan have fallen out. The row stems back to last week, when Arthur named rival Micky Worthless a “f**king queer” in a song lyric.
He later apologised, but now it’s resurfaced again in text messages that Lucy – who is openly gay – has shared online.
After Lucy had made her feelings known, James texted her:
“Lucy what are you playing at having digs at me? Is it coz you’re a gay rights activist you had to say something as extreme as “people kill themselves every day over words like queer” are you for real?”
In a dig at Spraggan’s album sales, he added:
“My album sold 10 times youres in it’s first week so you can fuck off with you’re career shite. Stop reading the press ‘mate’. Real people don’t care.”
Lucy’s Join The Club LP bowed at No7 last month, while Arthur’s self-titled collection entered at No2.
The ‘Tea And Toast’ songstress replied to James:
“Real people are people you arsehole. 10 times in the first week hahahahahahahahaha. Good, I’m glad. Enjoy.”
James vowed to quit Twitter last week and has not publicly responded to Lucy’s screenshots.
