Kris Humphries has auctioned off the engagement ring he gave Kim Kardashian before their short-lived marriage.
The hefty rock sold for an incredible $749,000 at Christie’s in New York today, according to Gossip Cop – as confirmed by a rep for the company. The ring boasts an impressive 16.21-carat centre diamond, along with two 1.8-carat side diamonds.
$749k is definitely an impressive amount of money – but it is thought that the ring was once worth around $2 million.
Kris proposed to Kim more than two years ago (E!)
Kim and Kris married in August 2011 after a very short courtship, but revealed that they were splitting up just 72 days later. Their divorce was not made final until earlier this year.
Kim has since launched into a long relationship with rapper Kanye West, and become a mother to young North West, who was born in June. Understandably, Kim and Kanye don’t seem to be rushing into marriage any time soon – but have a happy family regardless.
