Kirsten Dunst has bagged herself a new Hollywood role – in ‘Midnight Special’. The movie will see her joining forces with Michael Shannon and Joel Edgerton for Warner Bros’ sci-fi flick.
The movie will be directed by Jeff Nichols, who previously helmed Reese Witherspoon and Matthew McConaughey’s Mud, which was released earlier this year.

The plot of his new project centers around a father and his 8-year-old son, who go on the run when the kid is revealed to be in posession of special powers. The film doesn’t yet have a release date.
Dunst previously won widespread acclaim for her role in Melancholia, scooping a top prize at the Cannes Film Festival. She was previously seen in Bachelorette, On The Road and Upside Down, and made a cameo as herself in The Bling Ring.
She will soon be seen in The Two Faces of January, Charm and as herself in another cameo – this time in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
