Poor Louis Tomlinson! The One Direction singer has been the butt of a lot of football fans’ jokes today after he was tackled during a charity match by a professional player.
He had to leave the pitch and was then seen throwing up, making for more than a little embarrassment for the poor guy.
One Direction fans, ever the over-protective ones, have responded angrily – sending the player in question, Gabriel Agbonlahor, a flurry of nasty threats on Twitter.
He has since said it was all in the spirit of the game, and is quoted by the BBC as saying:
“It was one of those things. I’ll apologise to Louis when we meet up.

“I know he enjoyed playing in the game and it’s fantastic that he took time out to be here.”
Louis is currently on a break from One Direction’s world tour, which is set to resume in Australia next month. Let’s hope he heals in time!
1D will then release their third album Midnight Memories in November, before embarking on a huge stadium tour in 2014.
