Take back your wedding hats – Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have officially confirmed the end of their engagement.
The couple have been dogged by split rumours ever since they got engaed in May 2012, but after it was noted that Cyrus unfollowed Hemsworth on Twitter over the weekend, the separation has finally been confirmed. A rep for Cyrus confirmed to EntertainmentWise that it is “true” that they have decided to call time on their relationship.
A report from the US has since popped up claiming that the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer believes her beau cheated on her – however a source close to Hemsworth has told Gossip Cop that those reports are “totally inaccurate”.
Since Miley’s controversial duet with Robin Thicke at the MTV VMAs in late August, the couple’s relationship had been under more scrutiny than ever. He was reportedly less than keen on her new racy image, but she was adamant that she was doing nothing wrong.
E! claims that Miley is “doing good” following the break-up, and is focussing all of her energy into the release of her new album in October.
