New girl-band Neon Jungle have said that they will be nervous when their debut single is released this weekend. The four-piece release ‘Trouble’ on September 1, and band member Amira has said she’s chuffed with the public’s reaction to it.

“It’s been really positive in such a small time,” she told Digital Spy. “A lot of fans have jumped on board and have been really supportive. We’ve got quite a few views [on YouTube], so I’m quite shocked it went down so well.

“I think we just went into it with a positive attitude. When we did it it was so much fun, but when it came out it was a shock. We all love the song and we’re happy it’s gone down well. When it comes to September 1, that’s when we’re really going to be able to tell.”

On its release to iTunes, she said:

“Definitely feeling quite nervous. The nerves haven’t quite kicked in yet, but the day is approaching. I think all of our bellies are going to be turning a little bit.”

On the band’s name, she explained:

“It was a name we came up with – it wasn’t given to us. We’ve got a song called ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ and we wanted something that could represent what we are.

“We’re all individual and quite different, which is why we decided on Neon. We tried to put lots of different words with it, but they weren’t working. Eventually we decided on Neon Jungle.”
