Boyband One Direction have promised that their new album Midnight Memories is “different” to their previous two. Take Me Home and Up All Night both scored huge sales around the world, and the five-piece will no doubt be hoping to replicate that for their latest outing.

“I think it’s very different, but not too different,” Harry Styles told Digital Spy. “We’ve not made this weird album.”

He added:

“It’s a good transition from the last two. I think ‘Best Song Ever’ was a good link between the two, and that evolution just keeps going.”

On the fact that the record leaked online a whole week ahead of its official release date, Liam Payne said:

“It is annoying because there’s this big build-up and it affects sales. We really want a number one, so we’re just kind of hoping for the best now. Hopefully people go out and buy it.”

Louis Tomlinson continued:

“It’s just frustrating when you work so hard on an album and you kind of want everyone to hear it at the same time. Some select fans won’t listen to it until it’s out, which is great. But there are others who obviously can’t help themselves.”
