Police have confirmed that the late Peaches Geldof had heroin in her system when she died earlier this month. Toxicology results announced today (May 1) confirmed that the 25-year-old, who passed away on April 7, had “recent use” of the class-A drug.
The hearing revealed that heroin was “likely to have played a role in her death” given the “levels indicated”.
Tom Cohen, her husband, discovered her body, and Detective Chief Inspector Paul Fotheringham told coroner Richard Hatch that
“it was obvious to [Cohen] she was deceased.”
Her last known contact with anyone was calling a friend at 7:45pm on April 6.
No drugs-related equipment was found at her home.
