Zach Galifianakis was apparently very nervous when the time came to interview President Barack Obama for his spoof chatshow Between Two Ferns.

The POTUS’ stint on the online broadcast amassed millions of views in a matter of hours, and became a smash hit online.

Calling in to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show today in more promotion for his Obamacare program, he recalled:

“Zach actually was pretty nervous.

“It was funny to watch, you know, because this whole Between Two Ferns shtick… his whole character is to go after the guests. I think he was looking around seeing all these Secret Service guys with guns and thinking, ‘I wonder what happens here if I cross a line?’”

Obama seemed proud of the fact that the skit worked in terms of persuading more people to sign up for Obamacare, but he conceded that he doesn’t see a future for himself in TV entertainment.

“It ended up working, but I think I better keep my day job,” he quipped.
