Russell Brand apparently made jokes about his sex life with Katy Perry during a stand-up comedy show in London last week. The comedian is quoted by the San Francisco Gate as saying that he “considered becoming a monk” when he got divorced, because he was already used to sleeping with so few people.
“When I got divorced, I considered becoming a monk. When you’re a monk, you’re not allowed to have sex with anyone. When you’re married, it’s one person. That’s one more than a monk,” he is reported to have said.

“It’s not that different. I’d be having sex thinking, ‘Think of anyone, anyone else.'”
Ouch!
Russell and Katy tied the knot in October 2010, but he filed for divorce in December 2011. Their split was finally made official in July 2012. Perry recently said that she caught him making jokes about her while they were married, because she would come out to surprise him at one of his shows.
“[He’s] hysterical in some ways,” she told Vogue. “Until he started making jokes about me and he didn’t know I was in the audience, because I had come to surprise him at one of his shows.”
