Widely-reported rumours that Simon Cowell is expecting a baby with a married socialite have been addressed by his Britain’s Got Talent colleague Amanda Holden. The mum-of-two has said on Twitter that next year all of the talent show’s judging panel will be parents to toddlers under 2 years old.
“I am still here!”, she said, having not been online for a few days. “Just enjoying a family break! So! All Four Judges with potentially 4 kids under 2 for BGT 2014!! (sic)”. Rumours that Cowell will be a first-time dad come soon after David Walliams welcomed his first child, and Alesha Dixon announced her first pregnancy.
It was revealed in a US gossip mag yesterday (July 31) that Cowell has fathered a child with Lauren Silverman, a 36-year-old socialite from New York.
Various outlets now claim to have ‘confirmed’ the news, although no official word has come from Cowell himself or his team. He is set to appear tonight at a conference for The X Factor USA alongside judges Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio.
