The record-breaking selfie taken by Ellen DeGeneres and a host of showbiz pals at the Academy Awards has been parodied by Matt Groening.
The Simpsons creator claims to have exposed the “truth” behind the star-studded pic by inserting Homer Simpson under Bradley Cooper’s foot and adding Bart’s famous spiky hair.

Homer’s Twitter account read:
“The ugly true story of that Oscar® selfie can finally be told! Let’s break Twitter again. Look for Bart.”
The tweet has had 27,000 Retweets and 11,000 favourites which, although impressive is nowhere near the amount garnered by DeGeneres. Her pic was the first in history to break 1 million retweets.
Then, within hours, it passed the 2 million and 3 million barriers before finally slowing down.
Cooper is seen in the pic alongside Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Spacey, Meryl Streep, Lupita Nyong’o, Julia Roberts and Jared Leto.
