British medical drama Holby City has courted controversy after airing scenes in which a character threatened violence against Little Mix star Perrie Edwards.
The girl, who was a One Direction fan, reasoned on the show that she’d “cut off her head” in order to get closer to Zayn Malik.
She said:
“I’ve got it all worked out, all I have to do is track down Perrie Edwards, cut off her head with a rusty chainsaw, marry Zayn and have all his babies.”
Understandably, the singer’s mother Deborah Edwards was not impressed.
She wrote: “Anyone watching Holby city ??? Really upset.com x”
Many fans of both Little Mix and One Direction have since written off to the BBC and to Ofcom to file a formal complaint.
