Bruno Mars has been officially unveiled as the artist who will perform the prestigious Half Time show at the Super Bowl next year.

The ‘Locked Out Of Heaven’ singer had been rumoured late last week for the gig, but he was finally officially confirmed by Pepsi over the weekend. Exciting!

Mars has some pretty big shoes to fill. Beyonce performed at the 2013 event and had millions upon millions of pairs of eyes on her. She even pulled out a Destiny’s Child reunion, with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams joining her on stage.

In 2011, Madonna also performed a hugely-anticipated set, bringing on guest stars including LMFAO, Nicki Minaj and MIA – the latter of whom famously stole the limelight by ‘flipping the bird’ at the camera.

Mars wrote on Twitter when the news of his appointment broke:

“AWWWWWWWW SHHHHHIIIIIEEEEEETTTTT #PepsiSBHalftime”

Pepsi added:

“Excited to have you in #PepsiSBHalftime Mr. @BrunoMars. We KNOW you’re #FanEnough! The countdown to Feb 2 is on.”

Do you think Bruno is a good choice of performer?
