Chris Martin has wholeheartedly denied cheating on his estranged wife Gwyneth Paltrow ahead of their split last week.
The Coldplay frontman had been rumoured to be having an affair with an assistant on US TV show Saturday Night Live, but his reps have responded to the speculation by saying it is categorically false.
“This is completely untrue, we totally deny it,” a spokesperson said.
The rumour has been attributed to the New York Post, who said that network NBC was “abuzz” with the alleged news of the infidelity.
Paltrow announced their separation on her blog Goop last week; writing that the pair had decided to “consciously uncouple” after a difficult year.
She added that they remain “a family” with their two children.
