The sequel to hit Disney and Pixar movie Finding Nemo has been delayed.
Finding Dory was expected to be released in 2015, but fans will now have to wait until the summer of 2016 – just under THREE years – before they get to see it.
Similarly, The Good Dinosaur – which was meant to be unveiled in May 2014 – has now been edged back to November 2015.
The news means that 2014 will be the first year since 2005 in which a new Pixar movie has not been released.
Explaining the decision, Pixar president Ed Catmull said:
“Nobody ever remembers the fact that you slipped a film, but they will remember a bad film.
“Our conclusion was that we were going to give the [dinosaur] film some more time.”
That film is still awaiting a director, after Bob Peterson was recently removed.
