Sabrina The Teenage Witch star Melissa Joan Hart has admitted in a new autobiography that she had a brief period of experimenting with drugs while she was a teenager.
The actress enjoyed popularity in Nickelodeon shows between 1992 and 2003, but says in her book Melissa Explains It All that the late 90s involved a lot of experimenting on the Hollywood party circuit – with one incident involving her being high for a Maxim cover shoot in 1999.
“I experimented with weed, ecstasy, mushrooms and mescaline for about a year and a half,” she confesses.
She also alleges that she turned down an offer of cocaine from Paris Hilton while at a particularly riotous bash – but Paris’s reps have denied this.
What’s more, the actress admits that she hooked up with Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter, and had a steamy session with another woman in the back of a limo.
