Sharon Osbourne slams Dannii Minogue: ‘She was unbearable’

Sharon Osbourne has called Dannii Minogue “unbearable”, as she revives their long-running feud. The two women did not remotely get on while working together on The X Factor in 2007, prompting Sharon to leave the show. She has recently made a comeback, three years after Dannii departed.

In her new autobiography Unbreakable, she recalls their dispute, saying:

“Dannii had taken to walking past me in the hallway without even making eye contact. I’d like to say it didn’t bother me, but it did.

She said that Minogue’s relationship with Simon Cowell did not help them at all, and she said:

“The more it progressed, the worse it became between her and me. It was unbelievably bad.

“The antics behind the screen had gone up a gear, with her sticking her tongue in Simon’s ear and giggling like a bloody teenager as Louis Walsh and me stood there like a couple of gooseberries.”

Sharon said that she instigated a meeting between herself, Dannii and producer Richard Holloway to try and resolve the situation, but it didn’t work.

“‘Look, I apologise if I have offended you. I just want to clear things up.’ Her gaze didn’t shift from the far wall, so I carried on,” she explained. “‘What is it you want so we can get this to a professional level? Shall I walk over hot coals? Eat broken glass?’ Again, nothing. Richard talked to her and she mumbled back.

“Then he said that as we didn’t seem to be getting anywhere we may as well end the meeting. And that was it.”
