Jessie J has said that she hopes Kylie Minogue will be hard as nails on the next series of The Voice UK.
The ‘It’s My Party’ singer was a coach on the BBC show for two years, but will not return for its third series. Kylie Minogue and Kaiser Chiefs’ Ricky Wilson fill the empty seats left vacant by her and Danny O’Donoghue.
Speaking on Alan Carr: Chatty Man, Jessie said:
“I think it’s amazing that Kylie’s doing it. I think it’s going to be interesting to see what she brings.

“I hope she’s tough though. I hope that she’s critical, because that’s what I want to be replaced with as well, because I felt like I was the most honest.”
She went on:
“Every coach that’s on the show teaches something different, which is why I think it should change up. If we are preaching that we’re successful, we shouldn’t always be available to be on the show every year for four or five months, because then we’re lying to the contestants.”
She also lashed out at press reports that she was a “diva” behind the scenes, saying:
“”I loved being on the show and you do always have to get the bad with the good, and what show has never had that female diva?
“Tulisa got it, Kelly Rowland’s had it, I’ve had it, Kylie’s going to get it – and Kylie’s the sweetest person ever, so who knows what they’re going to make up about her?”
