Hollywood megastar Jennifer Lawrence has called for a ban on pundits calling people ‘fat’ on TV.

The Hunger Games actress has argued that, if swearing and sexual scenes are heavily edited for younger audiences, so should insults and comments that help promote an unhealthy body image. The Oscar winner was chatting to Barbara Walters when she made the remarks.

“I just think it should be illegal to call somebody fat on TV,” she claimed. “I think the media needs to take responsibility for the effect it has on our younger generation.”

She went on:

“These girls that are watching these television shows and picking up how to talk and how to be cool. So all of a sudden being funny is making fun of a girl that’s wearing an ugly dress.”

Jennifer has famously already become embroiled in a feud with Fashion Police star Joan Rivers over her previous criticism of the show.
