Rising music star Naughty Boy has taken aim at The Saturdays, claiming they “do nothing for music”.
The ‘La La La’ hitmaker reckons the quintet – comprised of Vanessa White, Frankie Sandford, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King and Una Healy – are more fussed about being famous rather than being successful at their art.
He admitted to Yahoo! omg!:
“I’m really into personalities, they are scarier than celebs. Celebrities aren’t scary, I don’t crave fame or that side of it at all.
“People crave fame too much, they don’t write their own songs, they just look pretty – that is sending wrong signals to kids – you should crave success and not fame.”
He went on:
“People like The Saturdays or Stooshe – they base their stuff on stuff that isn’t important, on things that don’t last.
“It’s throwaway – they can be as sexy as they can but they are doing nothing for music. It’s so disappointing.”
Naughty Boy will be heard on Britney Spears’ new album later this year, and his own new single ‘Lifted’ is out now.
